Seven Habits Of Highly Effective PMO Managers

PMO Flashmob at Project ChallengeLast week it was all about meeting PMO practitioners at Project Challenge. We wanted to find out what kind of topic areas they would like to see at future PMO Flashmobs and we had a great response from the many scribbles on the wall of the stand.

We also wanted to see where PMO practitioners wanted to see PMO Flashmob appearing – we asked if anyone has space for a get together to let us know – Bristol, Reading, Worcester, Leeds, Manchester and er Nice, France! You can always drop us a line if you think you have a space or venue we could use, just contact us and we’ll let you know what is involved.

We also launched the new PMO Research at the show too, we hope you can take part and help us pull together some interesting insights which I think will benefits everyone working in PMO today.

On the second day we had the presentation – Seven Habits Of Highly Effective PMO Managers – you can see the whole presentation here (about 36 minutes)

Over the course of the two days we also asked people to add to our wall where we asked them about their good and bad habits. Here’s what they came up with:

So another successful show for us – we’re getting the message out there – connecting with new PMO people – and increasing the network.

We also gave away a copy of the Handbook of Programme Management and a copy of the Handbook of People in Project Management – these were won by Rachelle – enjoy!

Thanks to Eileen, Ken, Stuart, Juliet and Nicole who all stopped by and chatted to other PMO practitioners on the day.
