PMO Flashmob are back at Project Challenge – putting PMO on the map in the sea of programme and project management which is what the show has been traditionally aimed at. It’s been good, however, so see so many more sessions at the show with a PMO theme. We’ll be keeping our eye on the programme as it develops and let you know what sessions should be good for you to attend.
We’ll have a stand there – and you’re all invited. Come along and just say hello – or come and have a breather on the settee and have a chat to some of the other stand visitors – what better way for people to find out about PMO Flashmob from some of the people who have attended before. Another plus is – its networking isn’t it? Why not try it out if you’ve never done an exhibition before. Just come along and join in.
So here are the details:
It takes place on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd March
It’s at London Olympia in Kensington:
Hammersmith Rd, London W14 8UX
You can register for free on the Project Challenge website:
You can attend any of the days – or both days.
There are sessions running throughout both days in four streams.
You can listen to us too
We’ll be doing a session on one of the days – not sure which day yet but hopefully the second day
We’ll be doing it on:
Why Resource Management Continues to Be on the Too Hard Pile and How to Get it Off
Obviously we’re doing the presentation with the biggest title so its bound to be good 🙂
Here’s the overview:
Resource management consistently comes up as the number one biggest challenge for the PMO, in this session Eileen and Lindsay explore why resource management is difficult for the PMO and shares insights into how the PMO can tackle it.
The session covers research from the PMO Flashmob and real world examples of how PMOs are approaching this challenge. It’s not about the tools and software – this session focuses on the skills, capabilities, culture, processes and psychology – and introduces the Resource Management Circle concept.
If you’re working in a PMO today and resource management is on your too hard pile – come along to the session and find out how to get it off.
It’s based on the latest Inside PMO report on Resource Management which we will be launching just before Project Challenge – with copies available from the stand.
Also Stay for PMO Mini-Masterclass
We’ve decided to find a venue nearby for our already scheduled PMO Mini-Masterclass for March – it falls on the second day of Project Challenge in the evening – so we hope you’ll be up for coming along to both – more details to follow soon.
