The first PMO Mini-Masterclass from the PMO Flashmob takes place in Central London on the evening of Thursday 24th September.
It was a great evening. Lots of food for thought & great company.
Developing a career in PMO relies heavily on gaining good experience, improving skills and pursuing good opportunities. Your PMO career also improves when you have a good understanding of the marketplace, are able to develop a great CV, pay attention to training and development and spend time networking for opportunities.
The PMO mini-masterclass tonight is dedicated to four areas which can really make a difference to your career:
The PMO Marketplace
Find out what the market wants from people who work within the PMO field. Gain an understanding of the different types of opportunities that exist at all levels of PMO and what the key criteria are for getting ahead in PMO. This part of the mini-masterclass is designed to inform about the marketplace today and help you think about where your career could be heading.
The PMO Job Tools
There is an optimum CV layout and content that works well for people who specifically work within PMO. In this part of the session we will spend time working through and improving parts of the PMO CV that hirers really want to see. This part of the mini-masterclass will include some interactive parts which will enable you to try out writing parts of your own career history using a proven formula.
PMO Training and Development
PMO professionals are always interested in finding out what others do to develop themselves professionally in their PMO role. In this part of the evening we will share insights into what PMO people are currently doing in training and developing.
Networking for Opportunities
Networking. A key part of any career development. It’s something we do both internally and externally that when done well, can open doors to new opportunities. In this part of the session we offer practical advice on how you can make networking a regular part of your day to day work.
