PMO Manifesto Launch

The PMO Flashmob for November was held at the Fleece in Queen Street, in the City of London. It was a brilliant night – great to see old and new faces. At this month’s PMO Flashmob we launched the concept of the …

PMO Manifesto

Yep that’s right – if the agilists can do it – so can we!

Here’s the first iteration of the PMO Manifesto on its dedicated website

It’s only the first version and that was the main topic of the evening at the PMO Flashmob.

Here’s Ralf introducing the PMO Manifesto in a style that’s only fitting for the flashmobbers:

If you’re interested in the idea of PMO Manifesto you can show your support on the PMO Manifesto website at the bottom of the page. It’s all about getting PMO on the agenda – making a better connected community and advancing the profession. What’s not to like?

If you’re interested why not come along to the next PMO Flashmob – on Thursday 30th January. See the invite and register to come along.

Here’s what some of the PMO Flashmobbers thought about the evening:

As always thank you for arranging the PMO Flashmob – last nights felt particularly social and also had an edge with the in put on the PMO manifesto.

Many thanks for organising last night’s PMO Flashmob. I found the experience most valuable – it was reassuring to learn that PMO colleagues regularly experience similar challenges. I’ve also been reading your blog, & look forward to your updates!

Hi Lindsay, good PMO Flashmob again this week, possibly the biggest one I’ve been to so far, with loads of new people.

Good show yesterday .I  will review the PMO manifesto and respond!

It was fantastic to meet you and so many other PMO people at the PMO Flashmob yesterday evening.  I really enjoyed the evening and look forward to the next one!

We’ll continue to bring news of the development of the PMO Manifesto – but it’s great to get it launch at the heart of the PMO community in the UK.

  1. Another good @PMOFlashmob last week, and the launch of the PMO Manifesto at pmomanifesto.org

  2. I enjoy and recommend PMO flashmob meetings. Good company, good choice of venue, A work (PM/PMO) angle but not to excess. Another triumph for Lindsay, please keep it going. I cannot make the January meeting as I will be in the U.S. – but perhaps a virtual or remote flashmob? 🙂 Seasonal greetings to all. From Michael Finer.
P.S. The PMO Manifesto item at the last meeting generated a good discussion. I left some handwritten notes for Lindsay and Ralf loosely titled “Positioning” – I wanted to add something that I felt would excite senior business managers and the Executive, not just PMO professionals i.e. a strategic and operational part of meeting Executive agendas, mission and vision.
